Ben Lincoln, a Security Engineer claims that his Motorola Droid X2 Device is sending sensitive data such as username, email id, password & GPS Coordinates to the website owned by Motorola.
What is worse is the data being send through unencrypted HTTP connection. It means that it is for easy for attackers to capture the data while you are using Internet in Public wireless Hotspot.
According to his blog post, the Motorola collects the Facebook and Twitter email email address and password - The password is only sent over HTTPS connection.
He also found that Photobucket and Picasa email ids, password are sent over HTTPS. But the username, image url, friend information and other details are sent over unencrypted HTTP.
He also claimed he received an email from someone saying he also obtained similar results when analyzing the traffic from his Motorola Photon 4G.
